About Maryland Phone Directory

Phone numbers for Maryland sit in a lot of different places. The state runs one directory for its own employees. Each county keeps another. School systems, public libraries, utilities, hospitals, and courts all publish their own contacts, and the area codes are tracked separately by NANPA and the FCC. Why We Built This Site

Maryland spreads its phone information across a lot of separate offices. The Maryland Statewide Directory covers state employees by name and agency. Every county publishes its own contacts, and five jurisdictions answer service requests on 311 instead of a switchboard. The state education department lists all 24 school systems, and the larger districts run staff searches of their own. Add the statewide library directory, the courts directory, the utility contact pages, and the NANPA and FCC references behind the six area codes, and the picture gets crowded fast.
